Product Description

Take your treadmill workout to the next level with the FreeMotion X3 interactive treadmill, which offers an incline of up to 30 percent. When set at its maximum incline, the X3 treadmill burns up to three times the calories as compared to walking on a flat surface. This means you can burn a ton of calories without having to run, reducing the impact on your joints with every workout. The X3 is powered by a DurX 2.8-horsepower motor, which employs an axial fan to reduce noise as it cools the treadmill's internal components. The fan not only extends the motor's life, but it also enhances your workout environment, letting you watch TV or listen to music without upping the volume. The DuraSoft cushioning system, meanwhile, reduces joint impact by 15 percent compared to road running, delivering the perfect balance of comfort and safety. And with easy-to-use one-touch controls for both speed (0 to 10 miles per hour) and incline (0 to 30 percent), you can increase or decrease the intensity of your workout at a moment's notice.

The X3 also offers a number of interactive features to amplify your workout experience. The Graffix Hi-Altitude 3D display, for instance, lets you view your workout like never before. Now you can view your progress as you climb a virtual mountainside, change angles to a different perspective, or zoom in close enough to view an animated figure running up the trail with you. At the same time, the display still tracks all the standard workout metrics, such as speed, time, distance, vertical feet, and calories burned. In addition, the treadmill includes a Random Trail Generator, which takes parts of the nine built-in workouts and rearranges them into a totally new workout experience. And if that's not enough customization, the treadmill is compatible with iFit workout cards. Each card is designed by a certified personal trainer and plugs directly into the treadmill's console, automatically adjusting your resistance. All told, iFit workouts can help you lose weight, feel great, and improve your overall performance in just eight weeks.

Other features include a roomy, non-slip climbing deck with 20-by-51-inch treadbelt; an iPod-compatible music port; a built-in sound system that produces a broad range of frequencies; a CardioGrip heart rate monitor with sensors built into the handlebars; a CoolAire workout fan that helps you work out longer and more comfortably; and a 250-pound weight capacity. The X3 treadmill measures 36 by 58 by 67 inches (W x H x D), weighs 215 pounds, and carries a lifetime warranty on the motor and a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

About FreeMotion Fitness
FreeMotion Fitness was founded in 1999 based on a simple yet bold observation: One-dimensional training doesn't carry over to a three-dimensional world, a place where twisting, turning, and moving in all planes is a daily fact of life. Acquired in December 2000 by Icon Health & Fitness, FreeMotion enjoys all the benefits of a globally connected company yet stands independent with respect to operations, research, development, sales, and marketing.

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.
