Treadmills can help make your heart healthier
One of the major causes of death is heart disease. The really sad thing is, the risk of heart disease can be extremely reduced. All we need to do is eat better and get a healthier heart. It sounds easy. It is, a little. The hard part is getting a healthier heart. One thing that you can do is start to exercise your heart muscle.
If you are an average man, your resting heart rate should be around 75 beats per minute. If you are an average woman, your average heart rate should be closer to 80 beats per minute when resting. To get a healthier heart, you should try to lower your resting beats per minutes. For a man, a goal to aim for would be 60 to 65 beats per minutes. For a woman, 65 to 70 beats per minute. The best way to lower your resting heart rate is to work your heart muscle!
You need to work your heart hard to get a healthier heart. When you are running on a treadmill, your heart rate should be over 100 beats per minute to 120 beats per minute. If you are new to exercise, don’t keep this intensity level for very long.
To achieve a healthier heart, run on the treadmill every day. You should warm up your body first by walking at a quick pace for at least five to ten minutes. Then increase your speed to where you are slightly uncomfortable. Try to run at this pace for ten minutes, and then decrease your speed to walking. Walk for an additional five to ten minutes to cool off. When you are getting used to the intense workout, knock it up a little. Try to run for 12 minutes instead of 10. Increase your speed slightly too.
Treadmills can help you to measure your speed and your distance. Running on a treadmill can also measure your heartbeat for you. Measuring your heartbeat on a treadmill is a great way to keep track of your resting and active heart rates. This is a great tool to keep on top of your overall goals.
Not only will you achieve a healthier heart, but you will be healthier too. The more your heart gets a good workout, the lower your resting beats per minute will be, and the healthier your heart will be. See? It is pretty easy.
